| Details:燝PS Manufacturer/Distributor Garmin's Automotive Design Engineering team is seeking experienced聽Senior Design Engineers for the design and development of electronic circuits, equipment, systems, and products for portable or fixed mounted automotive applications. 聽 Design Engineers will be responsible for the following essential functions:聽 Develop new designs from approved product concepts with minimal or no assistance which maximize performance and minimize cost Research new technologies with minimal or no assistance as directed by management Mentor less experienced design engineers in areas such as design standards, cost analysis, design techniques, debug techniques, and project management Design, debug, and test digital, analog, Radio Frequency (RF), and/or Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) Participate in design reviews imparting lessons learned and good design practices to all that attend Prepare or direct preparation of product layouts, detailed drawings and schematics Direct and coordinate manufacture of prototypes Plan and develop experimental test programs to verify compliance to all applicable regulations and quality guidelines Analyze test data and reports to determine if the proposed design meets functional and performance specifications Coordinate with other functional teams during the life cycle of the product and be responsible for and require design modifications Evaluate engineering test results for possible application to developments of other systems Use of software tools and test equipment to formulate and test electronic designs Support production facilities in the manufacture of products Interface with the Test Engineers and factory personnel on the testing and production of the products Perform cost/performance tradeoff analysis of different circuit options Investigate the usage of the latest components and technologies Complete documentation of the design in the required formats Assist with mentoring of less experienced design engineers 聽 Other responsibilities will include:聽 Participate in recruiting activities as assigned Perform other job-related duties as assigned | ||||
